MAKI Comics is an open creative universe. Any creator can submit a series. The best work gets published. The best of the best gets canonized into the official MAKI story. You could become a main author inside the MAKI universe.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Submit a series proposal (title, logline, genre)
  • Add a minimum of 5 chapters — each reviewed individually
  • Upload pages per chapter using hosted image URLs
  • Your work goes to Editor → Editor-in-Chief → Publisher for approval
  • Approved series get published. Exceptional work joins the MAKI canon.
  • Revision requests are not full rejections — you can revise and resubmit.
  • Published authors receive CR bonuses and platform recognition.

EDITORIAL POSITIONS

  • Editor — First-line review. Approve, reject, or request revisions. Up to 2 editors per series.
  • Editor-in-Chief — Reviews editor decisions. One position globally. Reports to the publisher.
  • Copywriter — Assists with editing, formatting, and polishing scripts.
  • Writer — Contribute scripts and storylines to the MAKI universe.

The cast shown on your series page. Pick a series, then add cards, swap portraits, edit the details or drag the order with the arrows. You can only edit series you created (the owner can edit any).

Owner only. Official series are MAKI canon and count toward onboarding required reading. Community series are readable but do not count. Changing a tier is logged.
